LaLota: Hochul Playing Politics With Congestion Pricing

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Rep. Nick LaLota (R-Suffolk County) released the following statement slamming Governor Kathy Hochul’s latest congestion pricing stunt which would burden Long Island families.

"Governor Hochul’s latest congestion pricing plan is a slap in the face to hardworking Long Islanders who already bear the heavy burden of New York’s high cost of living," said LaLota. "This is politics at its worst—delaying the plan before the election to dodge backlash, only to bring it back now in a blatant cash grab. Long Islanders are already taxed among the highest in the country, and adding another toll to daily commutes is simply unacceptable. Now, Federal and State representatives from the NYC suburbs, regardless of party affiliation, must unite to block this unfair policy and stand up for the interests of Long Island’s families and businesses.
