LaLota Votes to Keep Congress Working for the People

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, New York First Congressional District Representative Nick LaLota (R-Suffolk County) released the following statement after voting to pass H.R. 4364, the Legislative Branch Appropriations Act(link is external). This bill increases funding for the U.S. Capitol Police, ensures Congress remains open and working for the American people, and works to address our national debt and deficit.

“The Legislative Branch bill ensures Congress will remain open and working for the American people. This bill supports our heroic Capitol Police by providing increased funding for recruiting, training, and retaining the men and women who keep us safe,” said LaLota. “Additionally, this bill makes sure Congressional offices can best serve the American people and maintain the highest quality of constituent services and ensures unused funds are returned to the treasury to address our national debt. I will continue to work with all of my colleagues to fund the government as responsibly as possible.”
