LaLota Condemns Disturbing Rise in Antisemitism on College Campuses

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Rep. Nick LaLota (R-Suffolk County)spoke on the floor of the House to condemn the disturbing rise in antisemitism and antisemitic attacks across the U.S., including on Long Island and college campuses, since the October 7th terrorist attack committed by Hamas.

“Since October 7th, America has seen a demonstrable rise in antisemitism on college campuses, where students have been harassed and even assaulted simply for being Jewish,” said LaLota. “I’m proud to cosponsor several pieces of legislation to support Israel, hold Hamas and Iran accountable, and condemn antisemitism, including the Antisemitism Awareness Act. In America, every student should be free to live and learn, without fear of harassment or physical violence. Our universities, and our nation, must do better.”
