HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. - Today, April 12th, 2023, Rep. Nick LaLota (NY-01) announced that hundreds of new jobs would be coming to Suffolk County after Raytheon Technologies Corporation was awarded a contract by the federal government totaling $113,628,201. The contract will cover costs for Raytheon to develop MK 15 close-in weapon system (CIWS) upgrades and conversions, system overhauls, and associated hardware. One of the manufacturing facilities Raytheon will use for this contract is located in Hauppauge, N.Y.
