Northport, NY – Today, Rep Nick LaLota, a U.S. Navy Veteran, announced that the Northport VAMC will receive a portion of an additional $800 million in federal funding for VA infrastructure upgrades nationwide. The funds come as a result of cost-saving reforms within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) and will support a series of key improvements to enhance care and safety for Long Island Veterans.

These funds include delayed or wrongly withheld Social Security payments, Veterans' benefits, IRS refunds, and other federal reimbursements secured through direct constituent casework.
